Annual Spring Auction & Social Committee

Be a part of raising much needed funds for PS 133 and helping parents and teachers to have a fun night out! The Annual Spring Auction & Social is the PTA's second largest fundraising effort of the year, but in order to make it a success, we need an active number of committees members to bring it all together. Working under the lead of the Auction Chair in conjunction with the VPs of Development, various committee members are needed to lead and execute key efforts. All roles will run January through to the auction at the beginning of May. Depending upon team, some in school time will be needed where as other roles can happen from home and as works for your schedule.

  • Procurement Team - Volunteers will assist with procurement needs; send donation requests to previous and potential donors; receive and track it ems that have been procured; responsible for oversight of all donated items; bundling, packaging, display of silent and live items.
  • Food & Beverage Team - Volunteers to assist in pinpointing businesses who are willing donate fully or at a discount food and drink for the event; create a menu of items that can be served buffet style; ensure there is enough food and drink to serve projected attendance number; work with International Culinary Institute to get day of students to work event; procure what is needed for paper goods for food service (plates, cups, napkins, utensils, etc.) facilitate delivery of items day of.
  • Classroom Art Projects Team - Help class parents pinpoint creative ideas the children can make for auction; support class parents as needed in the creation of the projects; in classes where there is not a class parent - serve as lead so that all children can participate regardless.
  • Teacher Experiences Team - Work with PS 133 teachers to establish experiences the children will love. Run raffle in lobby leading up to auction.
  • Day of Set-up Team (May 6) - Decorate, pick-up and deliveries of items, set-up catering, set-up auction items, etc.
